Driving license in Nepal
A Nepali driving license runs in five stages: apply on your province’s eDLVRS portal, sit the likhit written test, pass the trial, collect the smart card, and renew it before it expires. This page is the map, and each stage says where it happens.
The five stages
1. Apply on eDLVRS
Each province runs its own eDLVRS portal, so which form you fill in depends on where you apply. All seven are open, and every license service on them asks for your National ID number. The department keeps an index of all seven, and the office you choose is where every later stage happens.
2. The likhit, the written test
25 questions in 30 minutes, 4 marks each, and 60 marks to pass. Every question comes from the banks the department publishes, which is what this site is built on.
3. The trial
The practical driving test, taken at the transport office you applied to, on the date the portal gives you.
4. The license itself
Once both tests are passed the license is printed as a smart card and collected from the office that issued it.
5. Renewal
A license has to be renewed before it expires, and a late one costs more. Fees are set province by province, so confirm the figure with your own office rather than any website.

Where this comes from
This page describes the stages and links the government’s own sites for each. It quotes no fee, because fees are set province by province and change between fiscal years: ask the office that will issue your license.
