What is on it

The exam draws a fixed number of questions from each bank. These are the six, in the department’s own order, with how many of each this site holds.

Where the questions come from

The department publishes a question set for each license class. The current sets are dated 2082/83 and are written in Nepali.

The 500 questions on this site are built from publicly available department material. They stay in Nepali here, because that is the language the department writes them in.

How to prepare

Common questions

How many questions are in the likhit?
25, each worth 4 marks. You need 60 of the 100 marks to pass, and you have 30 minutes.
What is on the written test?
Six official banks: driving and vehicle operation, vehicle law and regulations, vehicle mechanics and maintenance, environment and pollution, accident awareness and traffic signs. The table above shows how many questions the exam draws from each.
Which language is the test in?
The department publishes its question sets in Nepali, and the questions here stay in Nepali for the same reason, whichever language the rest of the site is in.
Where can I practise the real questions?
All 500 are on this site, free and without an account, split by bank, and the mock exam draws 25 of them under the real clock.

Checked against its sources on 19 September 2026.
