What the acts add

Common questions

How much is a driving license in Nepal?
It depends on the province and the class. The license fee is Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 for a motorcycle or scooter (A/K) and Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 for a car (B). The application fee, Rs 500 or Rs 1,000, comes before it.
How much does renewing a license cost?
The renewal fee is the license fee for your class in your province: Rs 1,500 to Rs 3,000 for A/K and Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 for B. Renewing more than 90 days after expiry adds a fine.
Why does my office quote a different figure?
The acts change every fiscal year, and an office can add charges of its own, such as the health check. The office's receipt is the final word, and each province's act is linked below to check against.
