Common questions
- Where do you fill in the driving license form in Nepal?
- On your province's eDLVRS portal, under New driving license. All seven provinces run one, the department lists them on one page, and each starts from your National ID number.
- What documents do you need?
- A valid National ID number and a scan of the card or its registration form, with a mobile number registered in your own name. Offices also ask for your citizenship, the original and a copy, and the health check report, and anyone adding a class brings the original license as well.
- How many attempts does one application give you?
- One written attempt and up to three trials. A retrial beyond that is a fresh application with its own fee.
- How long does the smart card take?
- The license fee is paid three days after the trial is passed. The card itself is printed by the department and sent to the office, which publishes when it is ready to collect.
