Part 5 · After the written test

Renewal

A license is renewed either on your province's eDLVRS portal or in person at a transport office, with your original license and citizenship. A lost one is replaced rather than renewed, and that starts at the traffic police.

Renewing online

  1. Open your province's eDLVRS portal and choose License renewal.
  2. Enter your license number, in the new or the old format as your card prints it, and your National ID number.
  3. Upload a scan of your National ID card or its registration form: an image or a PDF of up to 2 MB.
  4. Enter your date of birth in AD and your email. A one-time code goes to the mobile number linked to the license, and to the email.
  5. The renewal then passes the health check and the office's approval, and paying the renewal fee completes it.
